Lets be honest, we don’t get a lot of exciting food new from Conway (some, but not much)…but an imminent arrival to the city really caught our attention. And from the looks of it, this is more than your standard burger stand or sandwich shop.
Shucked Surf & Turf Shack will be taking over the restaurant space that once housed Russo’s Coal-Fired Italian Kitchen at 2480 Sanders Rd., Conway. A representative from the restaurant reports that the opening is slated for February and that renovations are still underway…so that date may change.
Clearly, the restaurant will emphasize seafood (the ‘surf’)…so expect fresh fish, oysters, shrimp, etc. Additionally, they’ll be offering an array of non-seafood items (the ‘turf’)…premium-cut steaks, brats, burgers, and po’ boys. The menu is still being finalized, so more on that as we get additional information.
Hours will be Sunday through Thursday 11:00AM to 10:00PM and Friday and Saturday 11:00AM to 11:00PM. Exceptions to those hours may be made during football season for night games.
With no website and a very bare Facebook page, there are still a lot of details yet to be unearthed about Shucked…but it appears to be a place with real potential. I’m not in Conway all that often, but this looks like a good reason to get on up to C-town. Stay tuned, folks…we’ll get you more info on the seafood shack as it unfolds.
